Roger has served in the financial services industry since 1979. He is a member of the Raymond James Chairman’s Council,* limited to the firm’s top producing advisors based on outstanding growth and commitment to client service.

Roger Winship is a dedicated professional disciplined in financial consulting and represents an institutional capability for serving corporate executives, nonprofit organizations, and high net worth families. He is committed to well-established fiduciary standards, and has worked for years serving Chicago area nonprofits; founding eAngel community (a 501c3 nonprofit organization).

Roger earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota and his Master of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Business. He is an Accredited Wealth Manager, certified by the Estate and Wealth Strategies Institute of Michigan State University and the Academy of Multidisciplinary Practice. Roger joined Raymond James in 2005, bringing with him significant financial industry experience as a Cargill grain merchant, a senior vice president with The Chicago Corporation, followed by a merger with ABN AMRO, which was then merged into RBC Dain Rauscher.

As a St. Paul, Minnesota native, Roger lives in Winnetka, Illinois, with his wife Julie, and has three sons, Charlie, Ben and Henry. He is active in the community, serving as a past trustee of Kenilworth Union Church and President of eAngel Community, a nonprofit affiliate of the Illinois Community Technology Coalition. He is a long-term member of the Economic Club of Chicago. Roger is a practicing Stephen Minister and devoted to his church choir. He is an avid jazz pianist and composer, who also enjoys skiing, tennis, golf and fly fishing.

Roger also has experience with annuities, long term care, disability and life insurance. He maintains Insurance licenses in Arizona, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

  • Direct Participation Programs Limited Representative – Series 22
    Qualifies an individual to function as a principal for the solicitation, purchase and/or sale of programs that provide for flow-through tax consequences, such as oil and gas programs, real estate programs, and S corporation offerings
  • Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination – Series 63 (NASAA)
    Qualifies candidates as securities agents. The examination covers the principles of state securities regulation reflected in the Uniform Securities Act.
  • Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination – Series 65 (NASAA)
    Qualifies candidates as investment adviser representatives.
  • General Securities Representative – Series 7
    Qualifies a candidate for the solicitation, purchase and/or sale of all securities products, including corporate securities, municipal securities, municipal fund securities, options, direct participation programs, investment company products and variable contracts.
  • National Commodity Futures Examination Series – Series 3
    Required for registration by the National Futures Association.
